Provincial Games

Lotto Max has a number of associated games that can be played alongside it for the opportunity to win even more great prizes depending on what province you play from. These games are run by the five regional lottery corporations in Canada. Atlantic Canada

Twist is the Atlantic Lottery game with a top prize of $100,000, plus five other ways to win. The results are taken from the winning Lotto Max numbers, but there’s a twist to boost the odds of winning the jackpot.

Match six digits from 0 to 9 in the right order to win the $100,000 jackpot in this game that can be played in Atlantic Canada. There are plenty of other prize categories, so you even win just for matching one digit in the right place.

British Columbia

There’s a $500,000 jackpot up for grabs in British Columbia’s Extra game. You only have to match four numbers to land the half-a-million dollars, while there are also prizes for matching one, two or three numbers.

Ontario

Encore gives Lotto Max players in Ontario the opportunity to become millionaires. You’ll need to get seven digits in exactly the right order to win the jackpot, but there’s also a host of other smaller payouts on offer.

Quebec

Quebec Max is played in the same way as Lotto Max and has a $2 million jackpot. Similar to Max Millions, there are also 14 ‘additional selection’ draws alongside every game with another chance to win $1 million.

In Quebec’s version of Extra, you win $1 million if you match seven digits between 0 and 9 to the winning selection. All the numbers have to be in the same sequence to get the jackpot, but there’s a host of other prizes too.

Western Canada

Played in the Prairie Provinces and Territories, Western Max is similar to Lotto Max but costs just $2 to enter. The jackpot is worth $2 million and there are 14 additional prizes of $1 million in every draw.

Available in Western Canada, the aim of the game here is for the seven Extra digits on your ticket to correspond exactly with the seven winning numbers. The jackpot is $250,000 if you get all the numbers in the same positions.

Regional Lottery Providers

There are five regional operators in Canada. The providers are listed below, along with the provinces where they operate and the games they host:

Together, the five operators form a consortium known as the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC), which administers Lotto Max and other national lotteries. The main Lotto Max rules are common for everyone, but all five provincial lottery providers also have the freedom to offer add-on games.
