Lotto Max gives you nine ways to win in each draw, including the multimillion-dollar jackpot for matching all seven main numbers drawn. The top prize can even reach $80 million.
The minimum Lotto Max jackpot is $10 million, and this jackpot will be carried over to the next draw if it is not won. That is how the jackpot can run into the tens of millions, and if it is not won before it reaches $50 million, the additional Max Millions game will come into play, giving players even more chances of winning.

The overall odds of winning a Lotto Max prize are 1 in 7 in every standard draw.
The $20 prizes and the Free Play are fixed so they will be the same in every draw. Once these have been paid out, a percentage of the prize fund is allocated to each of the other categories. The largest portion, 87.25%, goes to the jackpot.
The jackpot can only get up to a limit of $80 million. It cannot grow any higher, so it will stay at this value until at least one ticket matches all the numbers. Additional funds will be used to offer even more Max Millions draws.
The percentage of the prize fund given to each of the other categories is as follows - Match 6 + Bonus gets 2.50%, Match 6 gets 2.50% , Match 5 + Bonus gets 1.50%, Match 5 gets 3.50%, Match 4 + Bonus gets 2.75%.Max Millions prizes are always worth exactly $1 million. You must match at least three of the main numbers to win a prize. For three main numbers, you get a Free Play, consisting of three Quick Pick selections. The prizes increase in value as you match more numbers. You need to match all seven main numbers to win the jackpot.
You do not win a prize for matching one or two numbers on Lotto Max. Even if you match two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, there is no prize. You must match at least three of the main seven.
Lotto Max prizes work on a pari-mutuel basis, so they vary from draw to draw depending on how many tickets are sold and how many winners there are in each tier.
